Grow Downtown


Definition & Goals
1. “Why I Love Dayton”: Video competition/PSA. Create a video competition campaign to spur a perception and behavior change (‘Don’t Dog Dayton’) about downtown, in order to change the mindset of young creatives in the region.
2. Adopt-a-Block: Develop a competition where different student organizations from WSU, UD, & Sinclair will team up to “adopt” a block of distressed property, vacant land/buildings, etc and compete against each other to create the best makeover or renovation.
3. Revitalize existing events: Help create a better sense of awareness of current events being held downtown and market them more effectively to the young creatives.

Currently, our main focus is on the “Why I Love Dayton” video competition.
