Wayne Corridor
Our Goal: To develop the area of Wayne Avenue between 3rd and 5th Streets in order to connect the Cannery Arts District and the Oregon District with an active urban environment. Our immediate goals include information gathering of relevant properties and of business or organizations that are pertinent to the development of the area, do-it-yourself beautification and community clean up and events planning. Long-term goals include attracting businesses and other organizations to make a permanent home in the Corridor.
Why This Project? Our project will provide the beginnings of an entertainment and culture hub for Dayton by connecting existing urban attractions and developing new ones. This will in turn draw new business and economic growth and achieve updayton’s overarching goal to retain the young, creative talent in the area.
