Title: Bike-Friendly Roads
The Idea: Well, gas prices are down again, but it’s still expensive to own and maintain a car. Wouldn’t Dayton be a much more accessible city if we could ride bicycles for quick trips around town? Local roads could be vamped up with bike lanes, and running/biking trails connecting our neighborhoods and parks.

Bike Friendly pathways would be a project that succeeds. If our water way infrastructure was as well manicured, survailled & patroled like New York Citys Central Park, commuters and enthusiast alike could bike around the communities. If our Riverways were to be paved, illuminated, guarded and maintained with a new Parks & Recreation Program citizens of Dayton & the entire Miami Valley would have the option and or flexibility to travel from enclave to enclave, bourough to bourough all the way in town and back out again.

How about an initiative for bicycles or electric bikes? Maybe supply free electric plugins for electric bikes downtown. Portland, Oregon allows free parking for electric cars.
