The Idea: OK…….Indiannapolis has the Childrens Museum, Cincinnati has major attractions too. This is the Gem City, land of the FUNK. Just think outside of the box for moment. What if we were to facilitate Entertainment Venues unlike any other city in Ohio? NO not like another Performimg Arts arena, but like aN Amusement Park full of rides! Daytons old Solddiers Home (VA Medical Center) use to be the site for such an attraction. If City Government were to make a municipal purchase of say like “Lesourdville Lake/Americana” rides and rollercoaster and strategically place the. along RIverScape, Dayton would reclaim the Gem Ciity crown. Hey if our last Governor can misapproriate state funds on COINS, we can solicit tourism with gusto!
