The Idea: One thing that’s great about neighborhoods is that you have a comfort zone. All of us are involved in this initiative because we are invested in Dayton and feel comfortable where we are. However, one of the challenges if we are going to help to the region grow, is we need to step outside our own comfort zone. There so many little pockets in Dayton where there are so many great things going on, that too often we stay within our pocket. One thing we could do is coordinate an annual outing that introduces people to different areas of town. Once people know more about what’s going on – maybe they’ll settle in, find their own comfort zone and be more likely to stay in Dayton.
