Title: Scouting our Pathways
Author: Offered at our December Perspectives & Pints
The Idea: Break into smaller teams and go on scouting missions with a camera, camcorder, map & notepad. The goal would be to walk out of each of the gates at 5/3 Field and think “ok, if I want to go somewhere from here, where would I go and what would I find” and send everyone out in all directions & ask them to think of the best place to put signs, lighting or green space. Once you get 5th/3rd done, then try Schuster, or Oregon District or the Convention Center or Crowne Plaza or the Doubletree, Riverscape, etc and keep expanding. At the end, we can present a plan to the City that says “this is where we think we need the most signage, green space and most lighting”.

Love this idea!
Brings it all together (civic engagement, walkable/bikeable communities, good fun with people on the ground).
