A Final Call to Artists from the Activated Spaces Team

***DEADLINE EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 12***

For three rounds, the Activated Spaces team has put out a call to artists and the Dayton community responded with great creativity! Because of the talented artists who have shared their skills, over 30 installations have filled downtown storefronts with vibrant artwork. A huge thank you goes out to all the artists and our sponsors and partners who made this possible!

Based on the success of our three rounds of installations, The Greater Downtown Dayton Plan’s Activated Spaces team invites local artists to submit work for the FINAL round of storefront window art displays to be announced by October 19th. This fourth and FINAL installation of the Activated Spaces Street Team will be a permanent beautification until entrepreneurs move their businesses into those spaces.

The FINAL installation theme, “Colorful Dayton,” encourages artists to showcase our “colorful” community. Details of the project and submission guidelines are available online. Submissions are due by Friday, October 12th, at 5PM.

Not an artist? Be sure to spread the word to the creative talent in your newtworks. If you have any questions about the project, please contact Brittany Katalenas at the Downtown Dayton Partnership by phone: 937-224-1518 or by email: katalenas@downtowndayton.org
