“There’s nothing to do tonight.” That’s a statement too often uttered my numerous students and young professionals in the Dayton region. Updayton seeks to prove otherwise by hosting an Entertainment Speed Matching event on Thursday, February 18 at 6 PM at Wiley’s Comedy Club in the Oregon District.
Like speed dating for entertainment options, participants will get two minutes to get to know representatives from music, film, shopping, arts, and dining venues across the region. It’s a no-commitment way to learn about the varied entertainment options.
Representatives from Dayton Dining, The Downtown Dayton Partnership, The Buddha Ben, Five Rivers MetroParks, The Neon, Culture Works, Wiley’s Comedy Club, and many more regional organizations will be present to provide hints, deals, and information to all participants.
As a special perk, all participants receive free admission to the 8 PM show at Wiley’s Comedy Club with headliner Pat Godwin – a well-known musician and comic featured on the Bob and Tom show (http://www.patgodwin.com/).
The speed matching event is free to attend, but space is limited, so participants must RSVP to http://updayton.com.
