Scott Murphy, project lead for updayton, will discuss the updayton mission, purpose of the Young Creatives Summit, and the results of a comprehensive survey about the Dayton region based on responses from almost 500 students and young professionals with host Sharon Howard.
Updayton’s survey results demonstrated that certain top issues raise concerns for young creatives in staying in the Dayton region. Howard has invited young professionals from across Dayton to discuss these hot topics. Aaron Sorrell, Manager of the Division of Housing and Neighborhood Development with the City of Dayton, and Amy Forsthoefel, Marketing Research Manager at Five Rivers Metro Parks, will focus on neighborhoods and communities. Shannon Potts, Vice-Chair of Generation Dayton, and Katy Crosby, the updayton Summit Coordinator, will talk about the entertainment and nightlife opportunities and challenges in the region.
The updayton 2009 Young Creatives Summit is on Saturday, April 18. The Young Creatives Summit will offer young creative people a chance to make a difference in the future of our city – and the power to help transform Dayton into a better place to live, work and play.
